With my e/mo I run....
1. glyph of concentration
2. sliver armor
3. Healing Hands {e}
4. Watchful spirit
5. Mending
6. Bath's spirit
7. Protective Spirit
8. Spirit Bond
I start off with 105HP, then I die to get 33HP (this is low enough to run past the mobs toward ghial while casting Protective Spirit along the way).
Casting sequence is important. What I usually do when the last aggro leaves me alone (before the bridge leading to Ghial), I wait for PS to wear off. I then recast it and then when I get close to the enemies I cast Spirit Bond. When Spirit Bond goes away, I know that I must recast Spirit Bond, and immediately recast Protective Spirit. If PS or spirit bond gets interrupted, I wait for Spirit Bond to recharge, and then cast it, and THEN Protective Spirit. Reason for casting Spirit Bond is because if there are 2 mesmers near you before ghials area, they will try and interrupt that spell. There are usually no more than 2 mesmers outside of Ghial to interrupt you, so you should be ok. My 23 second PS should last enough to cover for this. I have never died outside of Ghail's area when doing this spell casting sequence.
I then cast Healing Hands. Every time that I have casted this spell before entering Ghial's area, with the above spell casting sequence, I have NEVER been interrupted (reasons unknown, I am guessing that the mesmer's interrupt skill hasn't recharged yet). The reason for this elite spell is because more wand attacks will be hitting you when you enter ghial's area, and will not return health when taking damage by spirit bond.
I then cast glyph of concentration, run run run run run run run towards ghial, and then cast sliver armor. Healing hands will cover the damage. Feel free to spam spirit bond/protective spirit to your heart's content. You will have plenty of energy to do this. During my spamming, I might get interrupted. This is actually a good thing, you want them to interrupt you as many times as you can so you can get off a clean healing hands cast when the boss dies.
When Ghial dies, your DP % will decrease, leaving you with 62 health. Immediately switch to a -50 off hand, and then cast healing hands again. This will lower your HP back down to 12, lessening the damage taken, which will give you enough time to pick up ghial's staff, and then /resign.
I got my Ghial's staff on my 3rd run

hmm, in the first post, why do you need glyph of concentration if you are using spell breaker? Doesn't spell breaker protect you from the interrupt spells the mesmer casts?

Signet of Disruption ftw. Going in with 13hp and not wasting energy on SB is much easier though.

Well I have done this run amny time and always run into an issue in the end well actually sometimes. It almost seems like I get stripped when I get to ghial.......
I cast PS and HB to manage my health on the bridge just before agro of the last warriors there then run in and use glyph and then slyver armor. from that point on I have to keep glyph up otherwise any skill will get interrupted I cast(most of the time)
basiclly I make it about 1 out of 4 runs and have got the staff only once now(not complaining better result then any attempt before ) I do about 8 to 10 runs a day keeping above stats in mind
Every now and then I get lucky and actually succeed in killing Oroson (name spelling ?)on the way there, I use that mob by the way to regen my energy to full after casting all my enchantments works pretty good.
By the way does anyone else have it that some of the warriors follow you all the way to ghial ?

Hi all,
I've made a video of this farm with a slightly modified build, and including the run. You can watch it there:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpIrXdT1Qzk
The run is a little bit dangerous if there is too much El wanding you and not triggering spiritual bond...but you can make it even with some dp. And Ghial is dropping dead so fast that this run is a real pleasure.
Thanks to the (unknown) one who came with this build idea first.
Cheers.
Heng.

Because with 55hp there's a risk you'll die coz' too many mobs hitting you at the same time.

Ascetic's Armor is the best armor for this build.

Check it out. Ghial's head on a plate within under 10 seconds? Yep!

Well now that the event is over I can post my build for Ghial. Its alot safer than the other builds with spell breaker
Mo/E
Earth Magic 12
Healing Prayers 4+3+1
Divine Favor 6+3
Protection Prayers -The rest of your points
Healing Hands [ELITE]
Protective Spirit
Mending
Watchful Spirit
Blessed Aura
Balthazars Spirit
Glyph of Sacrafice
Sliver Armor
The run is pretty simple. You run standard 55 armor then you die once and use the -20 for 13 life. Recast enchantments and make the run to Ghial. Once at the bridge before Ghial stop and regain energy. A good way to make sure they don't interupt anything is to cast mending and have that interupted. When you have full energy from tanking the warriors you cast prot spirit and glyph of sacrafice. Target Ghial and hug the left side of the bridge so you dont get body blocked. Attack Ghial with your weapon and you should it should be the closest enemy. Use Sliver Armor and Healing Hands after it. Ghial should die within the 12 seconds and once he does recast your healing hands and pick up your drops. The advantage to this build is that you dont have to worry about dieing after you kill Ghial.
